Overview
The Port Hotel is a family-run boutique hotel on the harbour at Paralia Katerinis, run by the Iliadou family. Guests arrive for the sea and stay for the hospitality, and the site had to carry both before anyone had seen the place.
The problem
Hotels lose a large share of every booking to commission when guests default to aggregator platforms. Winning the direct booking means the hotel’s own site has to be the most convincing and the most reassuring place to reserve a room, not just the most official one.
Design direction
Photography-led and unhurried. Cool sea tones held against warm interior light, room imagery given space to breathe, and a rhythm that mirrors the pace of the stay being sold. The harbour is the first thing you see, because it is the reason people come.
Development
Every layout decision was measured against the booking path. Room detail, rates and availability sit within a step of each other, and the best-direct-rate promise is repeated wherever a guest might hesitate. Built static and fast so it holds up on a phone in transit.
